Truth awaits

Truth waits for eyes unclouded by longing. This line is inspired by the wisdom within the Tao Te Ching. It points to a simple but profound reality: Truth is always here. It doesn’t hide, move, or withhold itself. What prevents us from seeing it is not its absence, but the way our own desires distort perception.

Longing, at first, can spark the search for truth. But when it turns into a fixed demand—when we want reality to match our preferences—it clouds our vision. We stop looking at what is and start looking only for what we want to find.

Eyes “clouded by longing” do not see clearly. They look through a lens of expectation, filtering out anything that does not fit. In this way, longing becomes another form of resistance.

When longing dissolves, the mind clears. Like a still pond reflecting the sky, perception becomes undistorted. In this clarity, Truth does not need to be hunted—it simply reveals itself.

The Dao reminds us: stop straining. Stop insisting. Truth is not elsewhere or later. It is here, now, waiting patiently for the moment your eyes no longer demand it to be something else.

Through loving awareness,

Sami
